Steps to Obtaining your Clearances to protect our youth
Please follow these steps to become a fully compliant Archdiocese of Philadelphia Volunteer. (these clearances are valid in all parishes and schools within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia)
STEP 1:
Obtain your Pennsylvania State Police Clearance - Criminal Check HIstory. Clearance is valid for 5 years.
- Click on Record Check (top center of page) and then New Record Check.
- Follow instructions.
- Print results for parish records and your records.
STEP 2:
Obtain your Pennsylavnia Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse History Clearance. Clearance is valid for 5 years.
- Create a new account.
- Follow instructions.
- Print clearance for parish records and your records.
Step 3:
Have you been a Pennsylvania Resident for more than 10 years? If YES then sign and obtain a Disclosure Statement. The disclosure is valid for 5 years.
Have you been a Pennsylvania Resident for less than 10 years? If Yes, then schedule an appointment through IdentoGo using the DHS Fingerprint code: 1KG6ZJ. Fingerprint is valid 5 years.
Step 4:
Complete two online classes . The Protecting Gods Children class takes approximately 2.5 hours. The Mandated Reporter Online Training takes approximately 1 hour. All training needs to be completed within 90 days after the start date. The training is completed one time only.
